Crawford Bolton, current Assistant Tax Administrator, has been named the new Tax Administrator for Wilson County starting June 1, 2022.
“I am excited and look forward to this opportunity to serve the citizens of Wilson County,” said Bolton. “It’s been a privilege to work and grow here over the last few years. We have some of the best staff in North Carolina.”
“We are delighted to promote one of our very own tax department professionals into the administrator position,” said Denise Stinagle, County Manager. “Crawford has been a vital part of the leadership for the tax department in recent years. His knowledge of our properties and tax base in Wilson County, along with his professional skills will continue to move our tax administration forward.”
Bolton has been Wilson County Government’s Assistant Tax Administrator since 2018. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Human Resource Management from the University of Mount Olive. He has special certifications in the following: County Real Property Appraiser III, County Personal Property Appraiser I, County Assessor, Certified Deputy Tax Collector, International Association of Assessing Officers professional designation as Residential Evaluation Specialist.
