Tax Office Updates
2024-2025 Fiscal Year
The 2024-2025 fiscal year started July 1, 2024. With the new fiscal year, all local government jurisdictions have updated their 2024 tax rates and provided this information to our office. Over the month of July, our office is working to finalize the 2024 tax assessments for all real and personal property in the the County. The 2024 tax bills are scheduled to be mailed out by the middle of August. Wilson County and the City of Wilson
Wilson County is located approximately 35 minutes east of the state's capital of Raleigh, North Carolina. The County of Wilson has a population of 81,000 plus residents and growing. Its total area covers some 373 square miles.
County Seat
The County seat is the City of Wilson with over 50,000 residents and growing. It covers an area of 14.2 square miles. Wilson County has an automatic Real Estate Listing System with approximately 41,000 parcels.
Wilson County Tax Department is also the collection agency for 9 municipalities located within the County, two Solid Waste taxes, 2 Special Districts and 15 Fire Districts.
