Program Overview

Services are available to children, youth, adults, and older adults. These services are provided in the most appropriate setting to meet the individual’s disability related needs.

Services are provided to enable blind or visually-impaired individuals an opportunity to:

• Attain and/or maintain the highest level of functioning possible
• Promote their well being
• Prevent or reduce dependency

This is achieved through the Division’s four major programs:

• Education
• Employment / Vocational Rehabilitation
• Independent Living Services
• Medical Eye Care
